2016 NAGLO Conference | Portland, Maine
The annual NAGLO Conference was July 24–27, 2016, in the historic "Old Port" of Portland, Maine.
NAGLO’s conference agenda featured topical discussions about youth apprenticeship, impairment in the workplace, the effects of a changing workforce and approaches to family medical leave. Several state representatives and business leaders presented information, along with guest speakers Dr. John Howard, Director of NIOSH; Dr. Mitra Toosi, Senior Economist with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics; and Laura A. Fortman, Deputy Administrator with the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division.
Conference attendees toured the warehouse of one of Maine’s most recognizable employers, L.L. Bean, a local landmark in Freeport.
